1. Hunting Ride in Balatonbolgár
September - Friday through Sunday. Two night's accomodation at the Kentaur Riding Farm with full board. English-speaking guide. Contact Us for prices.
  • Day1 - AM arrival & room arrangements. At 1 PM, welcome/ lunch/ choosing of horses. Country "test-ride". Dinner.
  • Day2 - 8 AM breakfast. 10 AM, tour guide welcomes group, introduces general regulations regarding the hunt. Fox hunting begins. 11 AM break with drinks, fox hunt continues. 1 PM lunch in the forest. Continue the hunt, ending with enclosing the fox and a Halali run for the tail. Champagne toasts to salute the winner. Dinner at 7 PM.
  • Day3 - Free cross-country ride after breakfast. Visit to a wine cellar. Lunch at 1 PM.

2. Hunting Ride in Pécsely
September - October . Accommodation & board at the Csikós Riding Resort at Pécsely. English-speaking guide. Contact Us for prices.
  • Day 1 - Arrival and dinner a'la carte.
  • Day 2 - Breakfast followed by a horse show. Lunch in local restaurant. Two hour "test ride" followed by dinner in a wine cellar with music.
  • Day 3 - Breakfdast followed by hunting ride and carriage riding. Picnic lunch. Dinner followed by a Rider's Ball in a restaurant.
  • Day 3 - Breakfast followed by a 2 hour farewell ride. Lunch prior to departure.

3. Bolgárpuszta Riding Tour
April to October. Six nights accommodation with board. English-speaking guide. Contact Us for prices
  • Day 1 - Arrival in the afternoon to Balatonboglár. Choosing of horses followed by a "test ride" in the countryside. Dinner & accommodation.
  • Day 2 - Breakfast. The riding tour begins. Picnic lunch enroute. Continue to traditional village of Somogytur, sightseeing enroute. Dinner & accommodation.
  • Day 3 - Breakfast followed by hill riding. Lunch in a Hungarian Csárda. Continue ride to religious and cultural sights. Dinner & accommodation.
  • Day 4 - After breakfast, continue the ride to the medieval castle at Somogyvár for a traditional lunch. Arrival in the early afternoon at Somogyfajt where you can go fishing. The famous Hungarian fish soup will be prepared from the catch.
  • Day 5 - Breakfast. Ride to the famous cellar-row of Táska for lunch. Continue ride to Busák, famous for folk art and needlework. Local-specialty dinner and accommodation.
  • Day 6 - After breakfast, ride to the thermal baths of Csisztapuzsta for lunch. Ride back to the horse puzsta of Balatonboglár. Farewell medieval-style dinner and accommodation.

4. Remote Hungary (the Danube to the Tisza)
Route: Ópusztaszer - Bugac - Soltvadkert - Szelidi-tó - Szekszárd - Hajós - Kiskunhalas - Kiskunmajsa - Ópusztaszer .

  • Day 1 - Ópusztaser. Arrival. Dinner and accommodation.
  • Day 2 - Ópusztaser. Breakfast. Tour begins, riding to the National History Monument commorating the Hungarian Conquest and first assembly fo the seven Hungarian chieftans. Picnic lunch enroute. Evening dinner and accommodation.
  • Day 3 - Bugacpuzsta. Ride through Bugac, a famous wild-life preserve that lies between the Danube and the Tisza rivers. Stud farms, animal herds, shepherds and fishermen are scattered in the area, and ancient outlaw legends give it an exotic atmosphere.Picnic lunch enroute. Dinner and accommodation.
  • Day 4 - Soltvadkert. After breakfast, begin the ride through an ancient moor to Soltvadkert, passing a 74 hectare game park lake. Picnic lunch enroute. Dinner and accommodation.
  • Day 5 - Szelidi-tóDuna. Breakfast followed by a ride in the countryside surrounding the Szelidi Lake. Picnic lunch enroute. Dinner and accommodation.

5. Wine Area Tour

Route: Tisza Lake - Hortobágy - Bodrogköz - Bükk National Park.

  • Day 1 - Egar/Tisafüred. Arrivals until 2 PM at the Mátyus House in Eger. Deposit automobiles at Egar. Transport by coach to Tisafüred, starting point for the tour. Dinner and accommodation.
  • Day 2 - Tisafüred. After breakfast, the horses are chosen. Full day's ride through the countryside surrounding the 35 km-long Tisza Lake, famous for fishing and water-sport. Picnic lunch enroute. Dinner, accommodatrion.
  • Day 3 - Tiszacsege. After breakfast, ride through the Hortobágy to Tiszacsege, alongside the Tisza Lake. Picnic lunch enroute. Dinner, accommodatrion.
  • Day 4 - Hajdúnánás. After breakfast, ride through the Hortobágy to Hajdúnánás, an agricultural village at the edge of the Great Hungarian Plain. Picnic lunch enroute. Dinner, accommodatrion.
  • Day 5 - Tokaj. Breakfast, then ride to Tokaj, located at the junction of two rivers in the center of the historic Tokajhegyalja wine region. Picnic lunch enroute. Dinner, accommodatrion.
  • Day 6 - Tokaj. Day for relaxation, wine-tasting and swimming in the Tisza.
  • Day 7 - Tolzsva - Sárospatak. After breakfast, ride through the Bodrog flood plain to Sárospatak, passing Tolzsva, one of the best wine-producing areas in the region. Picnic lunch enroute. Dinner, accommodatrion.
  • Day 8 - Szerencs. After breakfast, the tour continues through wine growing areas to Szerencs. Picnic lunch enroute. Dinner, accommodatrion.
  • Day 9 - Miskolctapolca. Breakfast followed by ride to Miskolctapolca, a lakeside resort spa snuggled in a valley surrounded by forest. Thermal springs feed several cave and lake baths. The Miskolctapolca Lido has several pools and a lakeside recreation area. Picnic lunch enroute. Dinner, accommodatrion.
  • Day 10 - Miskolctapolca. Day for relaxatrion and swimming.
  • Day 11 - Szilvásvárad. After breakfast, ride through the Bükk National Park to Szilvásvárad, scene of the Carriage Drive World Championship and famous center of Lippizaner horse breeding. Picnic lunch enroute. Dinner, accommodatrion.
  • Day 12 - Eger. Breakfast followed by the ride to Eger, famous for wine, monuments, and historic sights. Picnic lunch enroute. Dinner, accommodatrion.

Inner Somogy (new riding tour)

The group rides for up to 6 days, straight north to South, in unspoiled and sparsely inhabited areas. All night stops during the tour are made on the shores of lakes, where the riders can swim, angle, or just relax. Meals are based on Hungarian Cuisine. A Land rover brings the luggage along to every stop in time for the arrival of the participants. There is an English, German (or French) and Hungarian-speaking guide that accompanies the group. There are also two helpers, one of who drives the cart, and the other who takes care of the horses.

6-day Tour description:

The participants will arrive on Saturday by 7:30 PM at Lehner manor house, just outside the village of Keleviz, 15-km south of Lake Balaton. Here they will have the chance to meet the staff of SPANC and with the help of a slide-show, they will learn about the area they will ride through. They will have dinner and sleep in the manor house.

Sunday, after breakfast, the riders will go to the manor house stables where they will chose their horse for the tour.. The first day of riding will be a round trip to the Lake Balaton. Dinner and over-night stay in Lehner manor.

Monday, the group will ride 15-km to the pastures of Somogyfajsz, and cross them. From there the ride will continue, for another 15-km, to the Boronka Park, a protected area managed by SPANC. The participants will stop in the heart of the forest, have dinner by the fire, and finally sleep by the waterside in restored fishermen's cottages.

Tuesday, horses and riders will go from Boronka to the reserve of Petesmalom, for a distance of about 45 km.

Wednesday, the horses will be given some time to rest and the riders will have a walk (on foot!) through the nature reserve of Petesmalom. Riding resumes after lunch.

Thursday, the group will ride through forest and marshlands of incomparable beauty to Csokonyavisonta, 30 km South of Petesmalom. SPANC owns there an old school house on a lakeshore, where the riders will stay for the night.

Friday, the group will push down to the Croatian border: the Drava-River, the wildest river in Central Europe. There you will have a chance to have a long canter on the sandy beach.
